Hi,

    You can use PIN no 8 and 10 these pins are not used by piano.You can find below technical manual for your reference.In that only highlighted pins are used by piano DAC.

Hi Steven,

    After connecting USB wifi dongle to sparky you have to connect LAN cable to sparky and then you need to access through LAN by entering the IP address in the browser(check the IP address using mac scanner or directly connecting monitor to the sparky board ) .

After accessing through LAN you have to configure your wifi by enabling  wifi  in volumio and it will list out available network then you have to give  user name and password of your wifi .

Then remove the LAN cable and check which IP is detected by volumio (from your wifi network) and access the device by entering the IP addresss in the browser.

Hi,

   If you want the on-board Raspberry Pi sound devices to be enabled then  we need to change dtparam=audio=on.

LED of piano DAC is glowing?

Please download volumio image from below link for RPI

And flash the image then enable I2S DAC and select output device and DAC model as Allo Piano and check.

Hi,

   dtparam=audio=on should be on only.

After booting volumio image you have to select Output device as Allo piano dac and I2S dac should be on.

Please find below link for your reference.And try to play the song

Note:Then also not working means download fresh volumio image and flash the image to sd card and check.Select audio out put device as allo-piano dac in volumio gui and enable I2S as shown in above link.

   Add below line in config.txt file

dtoverlay=allo-piano-dac-pcm512x-audio

And make dtparam=audio=on

then Reboot and check the status.

Please check the driver is loaded or not using "aplay -l"

Hi,
   Please find below answers for your questions

 1. You can control the mute of your AMP with the GPIO22 of the RPI. In the BOSS board,GPIO22 comes on 14th pin of J19 Connector.

 2. You can control the mute of the DAC with the GPIO6 of the RPI.

 3.13th pin(GPIO23 of RPI) of J19 connector is used for  shutdown control of VOLT AMP board.

Hi ,

First check power is coming to the BOS DAC

 Add below lines on top of dtoverlay=allo-boss-dac-pcm512x-audio line

dtparam=i2c_arm=on
dtparam=audio=on
gpu_mem=128

  And then reboot and check the status.

And if not working pleas check boss driver is loaded or not using below command

aplay -l

It will display like allo boss dac

Please share the dmesg output and ls mod ouput also

Dear Anand,


   On Volumio, if the volume is changed in the GUI, it changes both digital & subwoofer volumes together. You can verify using alsamixer cmd.

We are working on OSMC to support Piano 2.1 DAC, will be available in a weeks time.
